“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” — Psalm 127:1
Every builder knows that if the foundation's off, the whole structure's in trouble. The same is true for the church. We can have the right tools, the right plans, and the right people, but if the Lord's not in it, it won't stand.
Right now, we're in the early stages of planting Cornerstone Church on the Eastside of Cincinnati. It's like laying footers before the walls go up. There's a lot of hard work ahead, but we believe God is the one building this from the ground up.
Here are three simple but powerful ways you can help in this season: Pray for us. Join the team. Give toward the mission.
Prayer is where the real power comes from. Before Paul ever went out preaching, the church prayed (Acts 13). When God's people pray, He moves.
Would you pray that:
God gives us wisdom as we build the team and make disciples.
Hearts in our community would be open to hearing the gospel.
We'd stay humble, dependent on God's Word and His Spirit.
We're not asking for comfort, we're asking for courage. Prayer is how we fight this battle and how we make sure we're building what God wants built.
If you're tired of just going to church and want to be the church, join us. We're not putting on a show, we're building a family that's grounded in the gospel.
We're gathering families who want to live out Acts 2:42—devoted to God's Word, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer. If you've ever thought, "I wish church felt more real," that's what we're after.
You don't need a seminary degree, just a willing heart. God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
Paul told the Corinthians that giving is part of worship (2 Cor. 9:7). It's not about money; it’s about mission.
We're praying for $100,000 to help cover the basics:
A space to gather
Kids' ministry materials
Outreach events and gear
Sound and setup equipment
Every bit goes toward reaching people with the gospel. If God leads you to give, you're helping lay the foundation for something that will last far beyond us. We are currently over a quarter of the way there and are believing God to supply the remaining 75K before launch.
Our name says it all: Cornerstone Church. Ephesians 2:20 says the church is "built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone." That's who we're building on, Jesus, not trends or traditions.
When you pray, join, or give, you're not just supporting a project; you're taking part in what God's building right here in our city. We believe He's raising up a church that will stand firm, preach truth, and love people well for generations to come.
“To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations.” — Ephesians 3:21
